CPU issues

Notes:(All tested on Windows 10 x64) The main issue on the VN7-791G is the fact that the internal CPU temperature sensing is weird. The CPU has a flag called BDPROCHOT which is set when the CPU overheats, or thinks it's overheating. A powerful tool called 'ThrottleStop' (by TechPowerUp) can help you clear that flag, disable or enable turbo boost or automatic speed stepping of your CPU, and so forth. It behaves a little erraticly on this specific Acer system from time to time, but overall it's better to have it than to be lost without it. The 'Limit Reasons' tool (LR0101.exe) included in 'ThrottleStop' can display and clear limiting states. There's also a tool called 'ParkControl' which manages the CPU core parking, but I haven't found much use for it on the Acer so far. Downloads:
